Prosthesis

A dental prosthesis is an artificial element designed to restore the anatomy of one or more teeth

A dental prosthesis is an artificial element intended to restore the anatomy of one or more teeth, also restoring the relationship between the jaws, while returning the vertical dimension, and replenishing the teeth.

Types of dental prostheses:

Fixed dental prosthesis

If you are missing all your teeth, you can choose a permanent solution using a fixed denture. This type of dental prosthesis is the ideal solution in terms of chewing and must be cared for and cleaned as if they were our own teeth.

Removable dental prosthesis

The removable dental prosthesis or overdenture is a removable prosthesis that is retained on fixed elements screwed into the implants and the patient can remove it for cleaning.
The overdenture model for edentulous is a solution that gives you security in a simple way.

Overdenture on implant

Overdentures are prostheses that are placed on implants, they can be defined as a complete removable prosthesis.
The advantage of this type of implants is that they allow the patient an improvement since it reduces the mobility of the prosthesis, improving chewing thanks to the fact that the prosthesis is fixed to the implants.

Hybrid prosthesis on dental implants

A hybrid prosthesis is a fixed structure made of acrylic that is screwed onto dental implants, being the most appropriate solution when the lack of all the teeth has caused the bone to lose volume.

The hybrid prosthesis is screwed onto dental implants (previously placed in the bone by surgery). These screws allow the entire structure to be fixed and seal the space between the prosthesis and the implants.

In this way, the patient will have new fixed teeth and will be able to recover their chewing function, their aesthetics and their smile.

To become specialists in this treatment, at the Terraza Puerto Dental Clinic we have the necessary equipment such as the 3D Dental CT scan, the Intraoral Scanner and the production through the Endoret method (PRGF) of platelet-rich plasma.

The entire process is carried out under the digital flow system and direct communication with the prosthetic laboratory.
